JSA App Update

Exciting news! We recently pushed out a new version of our popular JSA App. This app is compatible with both Apple and Android devices and also works on your desktop or laptop computer.

The latest versions are available for download to your mobile device using the following links:

Apple Store - JSA App (v1.4)

Google Play - JSA App (v1.5)

Here is a summary of the primary enhancements included with this latest update:

Wi-Fi or cellular connections are no longer needed, you can now complete your JSA's in Offline Mode.
JSA's created in offline mode can be shared with others without having to sync them first.

These and other minor bug fixes are included with this latest release.

Incident App Update

We are currently working on several updates to our Incident App and expect to have these available to our subscribers later in March.

Some of the updates include:

Adding "construction equipment" and "forklifts" to the base map used to diagram an accident scene.
Adding 5 new fields to allow for greater customization of reports.
Adding a security flag that will help prevent non-authorized persons from gaining access to potentially sensitive data in the app.
Adding the ability to document an Accident Investigation. Administrators will be able to document causal factors and corrective actions.
There will be several updates to the dashboard page that will include data for not just injuries and illnesses, but also property and GL incidents.

Checklist Updates

Our dedicated team here at Safety Reports is always working hard to improve our checklists. This past month they've been especially busy.

Here is a summary of the changes that were made in February:

We updated "Cold Weather" hazards on several of our Construction checklists.
We made several updates to Subpart "R" in our MSHA Surface Mining Checklist.
We added a new category to our EM-385 Checklist to include Powder Actuated Tools.

We are also working on additional updates that will be released in the coming weeks. These updates include:

New CMS Checklist specific to Long-Term Care Facilities.
Updates to our Construction 1926 Checklist that include specific references to state requirements for Hawaii.

Our standard checklists reference applicable regulatory standards. We also include links to the standards in the app and our reports.

And don't forget, to complement our standard checklists, you always have the option to upload your own custom checklists as well.
